Plain Tarot

About Plain Tarot

A reading here is a prompt for reflection. Not a prediction, and not advice. Just seventy-eight pictures and a question you brought yourself.

How the draw works

The cards are shuffled and drawn randomly. Whatever the cards say, they fell that way.

Who writes it

The reading is written by AI from the cards that came up, the positions they landed in, and your question. It is written fresh each time.

The card pages come from the same model, working from the 1909 plate itself, from what Waite says about it in the Pictorial Key to the Tarot, and from the modern consensus reading.

What the site keeps

Your question is kept only as long as it takes to write the reading, and is erased the moment the reading is finished. The reading itself is never stored at all.

The pictures

The images are the original Rider–Waite–Smith deck, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith and first published in 1909.
